I'm so happy to have welcomed a whole new range of beautiful Connetix Magnetic Tiles to Milk Tooth in 2021 - meet the Connetix Pastel Tiles! Currently available in a 202 Piece Pastel Mega Pack, a 120 Piece Pastel Creative Pack, a 106 Piece Pastel Ball Run, and a 40 Piece Pastel Geometry Pack, the colours were specifically designed to be rich and earthy - no washed out tones here!
One of the questions I'm being asked since their introduction is: Do the new Pastel Connetix colours go well together with the original Rainbow Connetix colours? And the answer is a resounding: Yes, absolutely! Have a look at the following photo - don't they just perfectly complement each other? The Pastel tiles (top) don't fight with the Rainbow tiles (bottom) at all, instead they really fill out the range of hues and tones. So beautiful.
Tell me more about the colours
The beautiful new Pastel colours are rich and earthy - and there are a total of eight of them! From left to right in the comparison photo above, I would describe the colours as mulberry, pink, peach, honey, mint, teal, periwinkle, and lavender.
The original Rainbow colours are bright and cheerful. There are six in total: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
Which packs are available in the two ranges?
Connetix's Pastel range is currently available in four packs:
The 202 Piece Pastel Mega Pack, which contains every tile shape (including car bases and large hexagons!) in every pastel colour. It also has Connetix's brand new isosceles triangle shapes, which allow your child to create perfect dodecagons (12-sided polygons).
The 120 Piece Pastel Creative Pack, which contains lots of squares in two different sizes, windows, gates, and triangles in three different variations. One of the triangle shapes is Connetix's brand new isosceles triangle, which, as described above, allow your child to create perfect dodecagons.
The 106 Piece Pastel Ball Run, which is jampacked with fun! Featuring no less than 48 ball run squares and 8 wooden balls, it includes Y-split tubes, stair tubes, bowls, U-bends, and lots lots more to create beautiful, fun, and earthy ball run structures.
The 40 Piece Pastel Geometry Pack, which is the choice for budding mathematicians out there, or just someone who's looking to add on a pack that contains beautiful hexagons and again - those lovely new redesigned isosceles triangles.
